Minnesota & Wisconsin — Stacee Demmer, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, has been named chief operating officer of LHB, an engineering, architecture, and planning firm with offices in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Demmer will oversee LHB’s operations and drive strategic initiatives to support the firm’s commitment to addressing today’s challenges by creating enduring, attractive, functional, and sustainable design solutions for buildings, sites, and infrastructure. A licensed architect since 2005 with over two decades of experience, Demmer brings a proven track record of leadership to her new role. She previously served as vice president of LHB’s Integrative Design Team (IDT), where her innovative approach to architectural design and project management was instrumental in guiding clients on smart sustainability and identifying value-added opportunities to strengthen the business case for environmental stewardship.
”Stacee is the ideal choice as our next COO as we continue to emphasize design solutions that strengthen communities, spur innovation, and address the well-being of people and our planet,” says LHB CEO Jason Mangan. “Her commitment to advancing sustainability, wellness, and resilience in the built environment, along with her ability to integrate our diversity of markets and services, serves our clients and supports our team.”
Having worked across various areas of LHB, Demmer has a broad understanding of different roles at the firm. “Encouraging stakeholders to speak the same language and collaboratively addressing issues enhances problem-solving – internally and externally,” she says. “I also place value on behind-the-scenes processes, which enables us to focus more on innovation and push the envelope on projects, delivering greater impact overall.”
Demmer replaces COO Joe Litman, PE, who is retiring from the position after 36 years of exceptional service managing, building, and supporting LHB's operations. He has been a member of LHB's board of directors since 2003 and will continue into 2025 as a member of the board and as a resource to our clients and team.
“I feel extremely confident in Stacee as our next COO,” says Litman. “Her proven abilities, tremendous insight for our industry and commitment and care she brings to her team members will undoubtedly take LHB to new heights.”
