$1.8 billion replacement project planned for aging bridge.
SUPERIOR, WI, 2024—The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and its partners will hold an information session on potential business opportunities associated with the Blatnik Bridge replacement project and provide updates on its status and timeline. The information session will be held Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Superior Entrepreneurship Center Ballroom, 1401 Tower Ave., Third floor, Superior, WI 54880. Parking is available. The bridge, which connects Superior, Wisconsin, and Duluth, Minnesota, is nearing the end of its service life, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) are planning its replacement.
