Part-time, 25 – 30 hours a week
Salary: $25 – $30 an hour
Hybrid with office time in ACEC/MN Offices, parking cost included.
Some travel in the Twin Cities area, minimal travel in greater Minnesota.

The Engineering Education Foundation of America (EEFA) was established as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota. The Foundation makes charitable investments in education to promote careers in the engineering profession. The Foundation supports STEM education starting in kindergarten and extends through high school to inspire future generations of engineers. Additionally, the Foundation supports partnerships with engineering schools at colleges and universities to promote careers in the consulting engineering profession. Furthermore, the Foundation supports early career engineering professionals to promote workforce retention in the engineering industry. Finally, the Foundation provides continuing professional education for practicing engineers.
Program Coordinator Role:
Responsible for coordinating, assisting in the development of, and implementing
foundation programming, fundraising, and promotion and other duties as assigned by ACEC/MN CEO.
Roles and Responsibilities.
Event Management
- Coordinate EEFA fundraisers and networking events, including Softball Tournament, Golf Tournament, state fair booth, and Gala. This includes budget development and oversight.
- Coordinate donor tracking and promotion.
- Coordinate communication, outreach, and marketing.
Committee & Liaison Responsibilities
- Support EEFA Board, Advisory Council and Committees
- Coordinate and attend Workforce Development committee meetings, function as liaison back to the EEFA board on activities and actions.
Scholarship & Internship Programs
- Manage EEFA scholarship program, both member contributions and student recipient promotion.
- Oversea communications to universities, students, committee members and donors.
- Maintain scholarship software program.
- Maintain internship software program.
Administrative Support
- Write clear, accurate, and professional communication and materials.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with EEFA donors, Committee members and engineering community.
- Support online presence of the EEFA Foundation including use of social media and web-based software, i.e., broadcast email, website software, etc.
- Develop messaging, tactics, and logistics for promoting Foundation awareness to members and others.
- Prepare materials for meetings, programs, and events in collaboration with the ACEC/MN CEO, EEFA Board of Directors and Staff
- Work with the ACEC/MN CEO on overall foundation planning and review.
Other
- Other activities as assigned by the ACEC/MN CEO.
Desired Education, Training and Experience.
- College graduate or equivalent experience. 3+ years’ professional work experience.
- Demonstrated Project and/or event management experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving and coalition building skills.
- Must be detail oriented with strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage numerous concurrent projects/issues.
- Outstanding written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and self-motivate.
- Computer savvy and willingness to learn new tools. Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook required. Canva, donor tracking, online databases desired.
