PRESENTATION: Excellent Adventures of PT Repairs
DESCRIPTION:
The Twin Cities experienced more widespread adoption of post-tensioning (PT) floor systems for concrete construction in the late 1970s and early 1980s. With 40+ years of industry experience since, the maintenance of PT systems, whether from damage, deterioration or functional changes, is now somewhat commonplace. This presentation will touch on history, code and design elements, structural evaluation and assessments, materials and equipment, and processes and procedures for post-tensioning maintenance and repairs.
