Culminating more than 20 years of experience, Lance Goodick has held a variety of positions in the industrial sector in the areas of pulp & paper, oil & gas, mining, and food processing. At the start of his career, Lance was primarily focused on power distribution and design, building electrical systems, and automation & controls.
For 8 of his career, Lance performed the role of Senior Electrical Power Engineer and Design Team Supervisor working at Canada’s largest nuclear research company on low and medium voltage electrical distribution, lighting, security, and fire protection systems to Canadian Nuclear Standards. For the last 10 years, Lance has focused more as a Project Manager and Senior Engineer for Stantec on complex multidisciplinary projects for a variety of clients. Lance has achieved a rewarding reputation for his thorough and accurate work designing and supporting numerous domestic and international projects over the course of his established career.

Mark is a Senior Project Manager with 37 years of engineering and project management experience. As a client facing, EPCM SME, Mark has significant experience in offsite fabrication and modularization, inventory control, turnover, commissioning and start up processes. Mark leads our Prairies and Territories Energy & Resources team which includes a vast array of industrial clients; seed processing, mining, O&G and power projects, from First of A Kind (FOAK) to traditional, brownfield and greenfield engineering projects. Mark had co-led Stantec’s SMR program for 24 months and is motivated by designing in optimization strategies through the construction phase of the EPC model. As a long time, ex-military engineer, Marks firm belief is that “failing the mission isn’t an option”— there is always a path forward.
Célestin Piette, Tractebel Inc.
Business Development Director
Célestin Piette holds a Master in Chemical Engineering and a complementary Master in Management. As director of Business Development he leads Tractebel Inc. projects development in the SMR sphere with a particular focus on beyond-electricity applications for the heavy industry leveraging co-gen and hydrogen capabilities of advanced nuclear reactors. On top of his Engie’s nuclear traineeship, he recently took a position of Board Director in the European Society of Engineers and Industrials. Célestin acts as a representative for Tractebel within SMR international working groups such as WNA, OECD/NEA, IAEA and Foratom.
